Lon is a specialist in digital marketing who has advised over 30 Fortune 500 companies regarding their website usability, mobile apps and online strategies. For the past 10 years, Lon has been the driving force behind First Insights LLC – a NYC and Chicago based consulting firm with clients such as Pfizer, Mercedes-Benz, Merrill Lynch, Samsung, The New York Times and American Airlines.
Within the food and travel space, Lon completed customized research projects for Kellogg’s, The International Culinary Center, Leading Hotels of the World and McDonald’s to uncover the best ways to acquire, retain and communicate with customers.
Before founding First Insights, Lon spent several years at an award winning ad agency that is now part of the Publicis Group. Managing website builds and research projects for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Orbitz.com, American Express, Hewlett Packard and Cadillac, he has been leading online marketing teams since the .com revolution began in the mid 1990’s.
Looking to give back to the community and educate people, Lon serves as a local leader of the Chicago IxDA and has spoken at UXPA & SXSW events. He has also published articles in Quirk’s Market Research Magazine and MarketingProfs.com.
Passionate about great food and sustainable environmental practices, Lon brings his enthusiasm and keen organizational skills to every event we produce.
Lon holds a B.S. in Social Education from Boston University.
